For many, a vacation isn’t a vacation without some beach. Sunbathing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or just sitting back and enjoying a coolie with a good book – the beach is a symbol of paradise. Well if you’re stuck on where to vacation next, but know for sure a beach needs to be part of it, then take note because the following beaches are considered by many to be the world’s best. P.S. – don’t forget the suntan lotion.
Phi Phi, Thailand
This beach is actually made up of two beaches. The first, Ko Phi Phi Leh, the second, Ko Phi Phi Don. Don is larger and has coffee and food bars. Leh is for sitting back and relaxing. And with its calm waters and crystal clear skies, it should be hard to do.
Seychelles, La Digue
If you’re bored of yellow’ish colored sand, then take a trip to Seychelles on the Indian Ocean. The sand here is pink. It matches well with the water, which is turquoise and literally glitters in the sun.
Part of the Indian Ocean, the Maldives might be the best spot for swimming. The assortment of tropical fish you’ll see when snorkeling is truly amazing. Or if you’re into scuba diving, there’s even more variety at 80 feet below.
Tenerife, Canary Islands
Tenerife is one of those beaches you can visit all year round because the weather is always perfect. This island, which is a part of Spain, gets less than 30 days of rain each year. So no need to pack an umbrella.
Bora Bora, Tahiti
Nicknamed the “Romantic Island”, Bora Bora is the go-to spot for honeymooners. It has the world’s most intimate atmosphere, with little wooden thatch cabins perched atop the water. If you’re a couple, this beach is pure paradise.
Located on the west coast between two villages named Angol and Balabag, Boracay is one of the most gorgeous white-sanded beaches you’ll ever see. The water is cool and shallow, perfect for snorkeling. It also has a ton of accommodations you can make, as it’s home to over 350 resorts, all with restaurants and nightclubs.
The Hamptons, New York
If you’ve always wondered why the rich reference The Hamptons in movies, then here’s why. It’s has the prettiest beach not just on Long Island, but amongst the rest in the world. It gets its character from its unspoiled shores, windswept dunes, and grass that borders onto the Atlantic Ocean.
Natadola Beach, Fiji
One thing that can ruin your time on a beach is if it’s extremely hot. Well on Natadola beach, the weather stays comfortably warm all year round. Aside from it’s picturesque views and white sands, you can enjoy such activities like snorkeling and horseback riding.
